“Things that Last”

Begins Next Sunday, February 5

Have you ever thought about the things we waste our energy and time on—things that will not even matter a year from now?  TEMPORARY—that’s what so many of these things are.  Money, notoriety, approval, even fame is short lived so often.  In a world where so much is just a blink of an eye, what is it that lasts?  In this short series, we will focus on the things that remain—Faith, Hope, and Love—and how we are storing these treasures up for heaven in our lives, homes, community and world.

Feb.  5  – “Faith”  Luke 5: 17-26 & Hebrews 11:1-2

Feb. 12 – “Hope” Romans 5: 1-15 & I Timothy 4: 10

Feb. 19 – “Love”   I Corinthians 13:1-13 & Romans 8:39

During the month of February, we will be presenting a sermon series called "Things That Last."  This series is based on the final verse of I Corinthians 13, where it says, "Faith, hope, love - these remain, and the greatest of these is love."  As a culmination to the last service on February 19 on “Love,” we will offer a marriage vow renewal opportunity to interested couples at 12:30 pm (following the last worship service) in the sanctuary.  There will be a reception following this short service in the Fellowship Hall.  If you and your beloved plan to renew your vows at this service please let us know through the Sign-Up Sheet in your bulletin or call the church (427-3272).
