“Celebrating Heart Havens 2010”

Come out and meet our “Heart Havens” residents and enjoy grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, chips and ice cream. Special music by “Ski” Watzlavick – from Gospel to Elvis and some karaoke, too! Donations will be accepted to pay for the meal and to support United Methodist Men missions.

Please make checks payable to “Norfolk District UMM”.

Make your reservations by Aug 4^th so we can get an accurate count. Bring your family, your pastor, and other guests who want to participate in the celebration!

This Norfolk District event will be our Third Annual Family Cookout honoring our Heart Havens residents. One of our primary missions in the Norfolk District is the support of two “Heart Havens” homes – the McLeigh House and the Taylor House. We are expecting a special visit from the residents of each home. We will also have maps available if you wish to visit either of the two homes. If your group has “Heart Havens” photos or information on other missions that you would like to share with the district please bring photos, information, posters, etc to share. We plan hold the event outside, weather permitting, so bring your lawn chairs and come out for some good food and fellowship. If it’s too hot or too wet we’ll hold the event in the Fellowship Hall. We hope that you can find time in your busy schedules to join us for a couple of hours on Saturday and celebrate the continuing ministry of the Norfolk District United Methodist Men as we enter our second century of ministry and service.
