Mere Christianity

NEW MID-WEEK OFFERING Begins April 21st during the Wednesday Mid-Weeks time (6:30 – 8pm), there will be a new class offering entitled, “Mere Christianity” that is a survey through C.S. Lewis’ book of the same title.  This book is one of the most popular and beloved introductions to Christian faith ever written, and has sold millions of copies worldwide. The book brings together Lewis's legendary broadcast talks of the war years, talks in which he set out simply to "explain and defend the belief that has been common to nearly all Christians at all times." Rejecting the boundaries that divide Christianity's many denominations, C.S. Lewis provides an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear a powerful, rational case for Christian faith. It is a collection of scintillating brilliance that remains strikingly fresh for the modern reader and at the same time confirms C.S. Lewis's reputation as one of the leading writers and thinkers of our age. Your Time Starved Marriage

NEW MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT COURSE “Your Time-Starved Marriage” begins Monday, April 19th.  Would you throw away a $100 bill? Never! So why squander that most precious commodity---time? Let marriage experts, Les and Leslie Parrott (authors of the book, Your Time-Starved Marriage) show you how to stop the "time bandits" in your life. You'll discover the two lies every time-deprived couple believes; learn how to recapture "missing" hours; slay the "busyness" giant that threatens your relationship; and more.  This course, led by Pastor Fran on Monday evenings, runs for 7 weeks through June 7th.  Materials cost of $25 per participant and include a class book and separate workbook for both men and women.  (If you share the class book as a couple, the cost is $16.50 per couple, but both men and women need to purchase the workbook separately).  Please use your sign-up slip or the web to register for this class. 

 NEW ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL STUDY Begins April 18.  Wayne and Edie Gordon will lead the 8:30am Chrysalis Sunday School in a six week study entitled "The Promised Land - Faith Lessons Vol. 1."  Join them in discovering how God guided his people to a specific place - The Promised Land - to impact the world both in ancient times and today.
